Sharon Wardrope has always had an interest in the legal field. Her current position fell into her lap when a friend told her about an attorney who was looking for a highly organized person to work in the real estate field. While she was not actively searching for a job as she had young children, she did go for an interview, which resulted in a job offer. That attorney, Richard E. Lattanzi, became her mentor and did not limit her advancement, but encouraged her with each new aspect he taught her.
She had previously earned an Associate of Arts in secondary education from Harford Community College in 1974, and returned to earn her paralegal degree with an Associate of Applied Science from this institution in 1994. In 2003, Ms. Wardrope received a Bachelor of Arts degree in jurisprudence, magna cum laude, from the University of Baltimore. She has been an integral member of Moore, Carney, Ryan & Lattanzi, LLC, as a paralegal and supervisor for more than 35 years.
In her daily responsibilities, Ms. Wardrope supervises the entire running of the office, managing the office and running the settlement department. She trains new employees and makes sure they are able to deal with the clients and other attorneys, searches titles and reviews title abstracts, coordinates with the office’s bank clients, and closes most of the residential settlements. She attributes her success to a passion for learning, organizational skills and a love for the job and the people she works with.
